Tree planting
While at Hlekweni, we were asked to take part in the planting of some fruit trees. The instructions were very detailed and enthusiastic!

Now that we knew what we were to do, it was time to get working...

Update:A year later, the saplings are doing well. Water is always an issue in Matebeleland, and the gardens at Hlekweni are used to teach soil and water conservation techniques. However, this past year has seen several thefts of water pumps, which making it more difficult to continue this important work. More information on the Hlekweni website
