Tenby and Caldey Island - Wales

I used to go to silent retreats on Caldey Island with my college chapel community, via Tenby.

This was the first time I'd spent any time in the town itself, which was charming.

If you ever get to this part of Pembrokeshire, we'd strongly recommend Plantagenet House - its a lovely restaurant where we ate/went for drinks about eight times running, simply because it was so welcoming and the food was so good. Its tucked away in a small alley near the harbour (Quay Hill, Tudor Square). Worth asking around for...

Coming into land at Caldey Island - a familiar view...

Returning here, where I'd spent many days thinking on silent retreat, gave me a sense of how much I've changed and learnt in intervening years - how fortunate I've been.
