Yorkshire Dales
meandering across the Dales is really the only way to go

this little one's journey was coming to an end, with laboured breaths...

Black Rabbit :
You've been feeling tired, haven't you?
If you're ready, we might go along now.

life flows

natural scree was used to build the walls and homes - clearing the fields

shedloads of these - each one unique

(I was puzzled by the vulture in that tree for longer than I like to admit)

a fading sign of time - passing place

this natural limestone pavement is a rare habitat and had to be protected

beautifully unnatural nature, which we enclose then wall ourselves apart from

evidence of careful, painstaking handiwork everywhere - now so empty, so silent

a forgetful breeze whispers its secrets to the stones

Nothing beside remains: round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare

The lone and level sands stretch far away.

aliens now inhabit these wide open spaces

not speaking one another's language, we stare at one another, apprehensively

will they ruminate on the works of man?
